The Second Annual Carpinteria Beach Cruiser Rally will be held on Saturday, June 28th in conjunction with the Rods and Roses Classic.
Residents and friends of Carpinteria are encouraged to bring out their bikes at noon to Wolbrandt Way off Linden Avenue, where some of Carp’s finest bikes will be on display. While the event focuses on beach cruisers, additional awards will be given in custom, stock, and the coveted junker division. Celebrate the joy of two wheels, the self expression therein, and embrace one of the most efficient forms of transportation known to man.
So break out your favorite cruiser, apply a generous dose of WD-40 and Armorall and we’ll see you there!

Help Save the Tree
Greetings Beer Enthusiasts:
May this find your summer in full swing. Here at Island Brewing Company, we’re writing with equal parts concerns and hope about a situation which we’ve just learned of. There are plans at the Carpinteria State Beach to cut down the eucalyptus tree that graces our ocean front view within the next week. We’re trying to rally support to save the tree. The tree has been a fixture of our view, we’ve grown attached to it, and if you’ve had a pint or two at our brewery and gazed out over the ocean, there’s a good chance you too likely feel it may be worth saving. So we’re asking for you to write Tyson Butzke, Head Ranger or Rich Rozelle, Channel Coast District Superintendent and ask them to trim a few limbs and try to rehabilitate it rather than cut it down. Thanks for your time and hopefully we can keep the tree standing.

Coming Friday June 6 - Cask Conditioned IPA!!!
That's right cask fans, we are rolling another cask out of the cellar for a weekend! This week we will be serving a cask of I.P.A. that has been liberally dry hopped for extra hop aroma. We will be tapping it at 2:00 on Friday afternoon and sreving it all weekend, or until it runs out. Come in and try a glass from the beer engine! Cheers -IBC.
